Temp Gauge on 2018 Platinum Exp.

Temp gauge shows up to 240 degrees or more on steep hills on interstate. Shutters had been damaged so were replaced. Problem still exists. Now Ford says this is “normal”. Vehicle never did this until around 60,000 miles.

make sure to check your radiator water level. this was the first time I noticed an issue and it turned out to be the leaking heater hoses. What a ************* design. Ford should be ashamed and should have recalled and replaced these things for free. The water pump failure is also common on these vehicles. Good luck.

16psi (1.1bar) is the typical radiator cap pressure. 240° looks well below these common antifreeze mixtures -- even plain water.
