The difference between 04-05 horsepower

I noticed the horsepower on these jump from 260 to 300 horsepower in the 2004 to 2005 models. I'm just wondering what gave these a 40 horsepower boost. Is there parts I can swap to squeeze those extra horses out? I have an 03 Eddie Bauer

05 was when Ford switched from the 2 valve engine to the 3 valve engine. That is probably the cause of the power increase, it is not a simple job to switch parts..

2V to 3V no you cant put the parts on to get the HP.

As stated, in ‘05 Ford went from the 2v to the 3v 5.4…completely different engines. I did a lot of work to an ‘03 EB that I rebuilt, to include a reman’d long block 2v. Plenty of extra power was found from the Volant CAI, JBA shorty headers, Magnaflow exhaust and e-fans I went back together with. She was a blast, and sounded just like the 2nd Gen Lightnings (sans the blower wine).
