Ok, I just got a 99 Expy & don't really have an 'every day' need for my 3rd row seat. I'm thinking of pulling it out & storing it til I need it for more cargo space & to reduce weight to help with fuel economy. Any opinions? Also, if I do this will the weathertech mat cover the entire area including the tracks for the bench itself?

yeah you can pull it out... my dad has a Cannon mat i believe and It covers the holes to mount the seat. You can cut holes in the mat though and leave the seat in if you want and leave the mat in then, or take out the seat and leave the mat in. It really dosent matter to performance and mpg as the seat can be removed by one person so about 50-70lbs. Not much in the way of MPG

Ok, well either way you're right, it takes up WAY too much space. Thanks for the help, where can I find that mat your dad uses?

pb blaster helps loosen up rusted or stuck bolts. you spray it on let it sit for a little bit and it should help to get out bolt/nut your trying to.

Thanks again but the problem I'm facing isn't a stuck bolt/nut but a REALLY squeeky ride, I mean it's LOUD.

i pulled mine out to do my stereo, i was gonna sell it but it comes in handy as a unique seat to sit in at car shows....basically my own personal couch that matches the interior lol

Freeway, you could try putting a large rag or old towel on the seats before you fold them. That way they shouldn't stick.

Is this easy to do?

yup just turn it around also my subs only fit with it backward because of the bar thats on the back side of the seat.
Also makes for a nice little storage area between the 2nd and 3rd row that no one can see.
I feel like it gives me more space to store stuff in the truck with it rear facing vs regular.
Ford doesnt want you to know you can do this because the seat belts dont work with it turned around
