Ticking/Rattling Cam Phasers Done

$2,2200 later and 2 days with out the Expy, I still have the same ticking/rattling that the dealer supposedly fixed. It seems that shops are charging a lot more for service, and you end up with nothing but a smaller wallet. Sorry for the rant, frustrated with the rattling and the dealership.

You need to be very clear with the service manager when you bring in the truck. Often times they will turn it around on you, "you said that you wanted the cam phasers changed".

You need to make sure that you tell them that you want the problem fixed, not just a part changed.

When they say "it seems to be the cam phasers", you need to ask them, "what if it isn't the problem?" and get them to commit in writing to diagnosis and remedy.

Sounds good, thanks for the advice. I will be sure to be clear on want I want.
