Tint Job

So I've been pricing around to get my front windows to match the factory back tint.

The cheapest I could find was $60.00. Seems a little high for just tinting two windows but I dunno anything about tint.

What's a fair price?

Mine came with the front windows already tinted for me, but when we had our 07 Impala (sold) we had 5 of the windows tinted and it cost 300 dollars and that was I guess 50 dollars per window so I'd say 60 dollars total is great!

I paid 60 for my two fronts with 3m film n warranty also paid 50 for the entire windshield so I would say it's average cost could get cheaper with less quality film..

my 7 windows cost about $200 but that was with a discount cuz it was a friend of a friend. but $60 sounds like a decent price

Tint material will also influence price. What tint are they using? Mine is a dye type tint, which IIRC is warrantied against fading. If you go with a ceramic type, it will be more expensive.

My front two windows cost $65, and the rear 7 windows cost $139. So 60 bucks for the front two is a good deal.

seems high to me i was just quoted $180 to make the back windows 5% and the fronts 20%

just under $200...lifetime warranty as long as i keep the receipt...free replacement if anything happens...i.e...bubble...peeling off...15% all around including visor...yall seen my ride!!! lol...

I went back to the guy & talked him down to $50.00 so I'm having it done tomorrow.

He told me If I do the front 20% (stock back tint) that's illegal in my state & could get pulled over. The limit for front is 35% but I want to match the back...

What % should I get? Will the police really hassle me over 20% tint?

I didn't realize there is that much specifics when it comes to tint. I will make sure I find out tomorrow before I have it done.

It depends. Here, 28% is the limit, but a lot of people have matching tint. It depends how they are in your area.

Yea here in AL 38% is the limit for cars and front windows for trucks. I did 15% on my front windows and 15% over factory in the rear. You can see my silouhette in through the front windows and you cant see anything through my rear windows. Here is a pic..

I had a dream last night about getting my tint job, hahah how lame... I really want to go 20% but don't want to get ticketed. Maybe I should call the local police and ask?

If I had limo(5%) all the way around. drove like that for years on all my cars. Got pulled over last fall and the state patrol said pay $135 or remove it and pay $5.. I removed and and I am going to put on legal in the front two this summer.

Tint all the windows, the factory glass does not have uv protection like tint. The factory is nothing more that a "colored glass" Tint will really help keep the ride cooler in the sun.

i need to get mine done. i have factory rear, but it feels like a fish bowl in the front. in cali its 15% front i think, but that was what i was told. i really think its about 35%. but who really knows. ill call my uncle, retarded, i mean, retired sheriff. but rear i found a place that has 2% tint. costs the same as 5%. so i might just get that done. it also like pitch black tint where 5% has a little bit more light. i saw the difference of them. but thats down the line. i at least want the front done too. o and in most state the windshield is illegal.

its a 2nd offense here in VA...they cant pull your over specifically for tint...but can add it on due to another violation...radar detectors...illegal...i still ride with one...this state sucks...cant wait to get to FLA in 6 yrs
