I'm looking at tinting all of the windows in mine (black platinum). I'm primarily after keeping the heat out, looks are secondary. I also don't want to push it legally. In Ohio that's 50% on the front windows.
I want to do 45 on the front pair, 35 on the rear and back, 20/35 on the sunroof, and 85 on the front windshield.
Has anyone done the front windshield?
The film is Johnson Window Films, InsulatIR ceramic - seems good from some reviews online. I've never tinted a vehicle before. I was quoted $575 for all of the above without negotiation, so thinking maybe $500 gets it done and feels pretty reasonable.
Anyone have any advice?

15-20% on the front sides would be an approximate match to the factory rear FWIW. I personally wouldn't tint over the factory tint in the rear, but I know some people want it so dark that you can't see in with your face pressed up to the glass. I don't have my front tinted, but the only reason is because I couldn't come up with an aesthetically acceptable (in my view) way to do it w/ an inspection sticker on there. The owner of the tint shop had a square cut out, but of course there were gaps between the sticker and the tint because you can't cut a perfectly sized box as you wouldn't be able to get the old sticker off every year. In any case, he had LLumar Air Blue 80 on there and I don't think it really had any impact on visibility at all (though to be fair, I only sat in his car for a few moments in broad daylight).
Re the price, that varies by region and by tint and the ability to negotiate at all varies by shop. I have ceramic on my 2 front side windows only and I think I paid around $150 down in the Philly suburbs. I am certain it would have been a heck of a lot more than $500 to do the whole truck. However, he is also the only shop that carries the tint I have within 1+ hours south and a good 3 hours north, so he doesn't have a lot of incentive to remain competitive on that product.
