Tire Pressure Error Code

I recently put on some F150 20" rims and larger tires. The rims came off a '19 model and have the pressure sensors, but now I'm getting an error/fault code? What should I do to diagnose further or correct? Thanks

Take it to a tire shop and ask them to train the sensors.

You can buy a TPMS training tool ($20 on eBay) and then put your expedition into learn mode (this is actually documented in the owners manual) and have it re-learn the sensors, but it much easier to go to a local tire shop and pay $10 to have them do it. It takes less than 5 minutes to relearn the sensors when you have the necessary tools.
You may also want to check that your expedition and the f150 wheels use the same frequency, ford changed TPMS frequency on the f150 and then the expedition a year or 2 later, so you might find that the sensors in your wheels are not compatible with your expedition, which means you will need to remove the TPMS in your old wheels and fit them in the new f150 wheels. If you know what year f150 the wheels come from, you can do a quick search to see what frequency TPMS that year of f150 used and then look at the frequency of the replacement units for your expedition use. If they have the same frequency then you are good to just re-learn the f150 wheels.

2019 Fords use 315 mhz. 2023 Fords use 315 mhz, but somewhere in mid to late 2023 they went to 433 mhz......definately went to 433 mhz in 2024.
If you take it to a tire shop and they can pair the sensors up, great. But is they don't than your 2023 has the later sensors.

I ran into this same issue with my 2023. I bought 315mhz sensors and they would not work on the f150 tires I bought. 433mhz worked. My build date was 4/11/2023

Or in the alternative, buy new sensors that match the vehicle system and have them installed in the wheels. Either way you need to know what the vehicle system frequency is and what the wheel sensors operating frequncy is before deciding what to do.
