My Expedition has the $#$#@ 22" wheels, which I'm going to swap for 18's so I can have some sidewall for my occasional offroad adventures as well as urban potholes, etc.

Can someone with 18's on a gen 4 take a picture of their tire rating sticker on the A pillar and post it?

so, found me my 18" wheels, takeoff's from a 2023 F150 STX Appearance. 18x8.5, ET44, so should be perfect. Cheesy OE tires, I'll wear them out and replace them with BFG All Terrain KO2's as fast as practical.

I'm planning on using the 35 PSI spec for the 18" spare instead of the 39 PSI for the 22's, unless I hear otherwise.

Will the Expedition require different wheel alignment numbers than the 22's ?

If the overall diameter of the setup has not changed and your backspacing is not radically altered, you should be fine with your current alignment.

hmm. when I went +1 on my old 1992 volvo 740 turbo wagon, using factory 'sport' wheels, there were different alignments. IIRC, it was less camber and toe-in for the wider/stiffer tire, and that was going from 195/60R15 to 205/55-16 which was a lot less of a change than 285/45R22 to 275/65R18 ...

The F150 rims are probably a +43mm spacing and the expedition rims are more than likely identical (mine were +43mm). If the overall tire diameter hasn’t changed there should be no need to align again.

Are these what you're getting? https://www.ebay.com/itm/276004748536
If so, there's no diameter change with what he's suggesting, looks about perfect. Good job finding the perfect winter wheel!

the expedition standard 18" is ET44, and so are these f150 wheels.

yes, the OD should be the same. but those Volvo wheels were the same OD, too, yet there was a minor tweak to the front end alignment specs for the lower profile tires, slightly less camber and toe-in as I said. The Volvo 740 rear end was a Dana 30 live axle, so no adjustment there except for the thrust angle which never changed unless you took things apart..

good ol' Brother P-Touch label maker :) I picked up a PT610-BT on sale last year, its a bluetooth labeler that works with an android (or iphone) app and can do all SORTS of custom labels up to 0.94" wide... This label is on their 0.47" (12mm) wide tape, which was just about perfect. ok, its a touch too long, I coulda trimmed it, but it will do.
