Looks like it will be a nice rig. Too bad they are not offering turbo diesel or the new 5.0 v8.

Interesting article. Ford stood on it's own and didn't take Government money and for me, that made a difference when I was shopping a couple months ago to replace my '03 EB. To ME (&I won't argue this with anyone) buying a truck from a company that I've already "donated" to just seemed very, very wrong.

We'll see if the engineers can do a better job then they have with the Lincoln. A LOT of problems with the MKZ ( http://ford.oemdtc.com/tag/2017). Almost looks like they are resorting to the GM trick of the 60's and letting the public do their beta-testing?

I've only got 6,800 miles on my new truck but this thing is a peach.....every single things works as it should so far.....lol

I agree 100%. Letting the buyers do the R&D is just wrong. Many, many are getting stuck with very big expensive repairs. I also agree on the government funding.
good luck with your new rig, hope it works like a peach for years.

Dodge and Ford I believe are offering the diesel in half ton pickups now, even Nissan is using the Cummings. So you are probably right about running it a few years and see how it sells. I personally am not a diesel fan, been there done that. But that and the 5.0 that by all accounts is a great engine would be nice to have choices. But then production costs lower if everyone gets the same.
