too good to be true?!? (oasis request) [edited]

Ok, so I just "lucked out" on a loaded 2007 EB this weekend for about $7K under KBB. It appears to be in awesome condition, other than the normal wear and tear. I got a mechanic to do the basic $99 inspection....carfax was clean (i know thats not worth much, but its something) and of course if there was something obviously wrong, the dealer wouldn't tell me.

TRUST ME, i'm as suspcious as the next guy and my "spidey senses" were goin' off like mad, as this deal seems WAY too good to be true. But I couldn't walk away from a steal like that.

Anyways, any of you seasoned Expeditioners who may have experience in selling/buying or just in the '07 model in general. Is there something off the top of your head that I should look out for or check?

or did i simply stumble upon a diamond of a deal? because the last time I checked, car dealers are in business to make money, not hand over cars at pre-auction prices.

Thanx, and howse that for a first post! LOL.

Tj.

I would ask on here and see if someone can pull an OASIS report on the VIN. A dealer can do it also. My 06 did not show any problems on the carfax (that I recall) because it was a rental vehicle. The OASIS showed me that it had been wrecked within the first few months. I still bought it because 3 years had past since it was wrecked. I just was not aware that carfax did not pick up all info. Apparently corporate leases and things are exempt from carfax reports. Other than that - enjoy it, Mike
