TPMS another question

theres a way to reset if I remember without a programmer...think u needed a magnet though

That's what I needed to know. My spare wheel doesn't have a sensor on it. When I get my new tires mounted tomorrow I'll have the best used one moved to the spare and have a sensor installed on it.

That's how you do it - if you need to take a TPMS out of a regular wheel and install on the spare wheel, just do that thing. Or buy a new sensor - have them reset; should be good to hook.

Let us know how it works out.

Actually I caught the note on the spare tire but I only have a spare rim w/o a tpms sensor. If I remember correctly on an 08 Limited I used to have the spare didn't have a tpms sensor.

hmmmmmm...cant see why they wouldnt put one in it...my spare does

the following DTC (codes) apply to the 2003 thru 2009 TPMS could not check for 2010 and newer
B2885 MAY NOT BE SUPPORTED FOR ALL MODEL YEARS

B2868 Left Front Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction
B2869 Right Front Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction
B2870 Right Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction
B2871 Left Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction
B2872 Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction
B2885 Spare Tire Pressure Sensor Malfunction

My '05 factory (unused) spare does not appear to contain a sensor. I have 60 lbs in it and the TPMS never complained about it.
