traded 08 expy in and need advice on first gens.

Ok so I got fed up with my 08 Expy and traded it in on a comuter car for me to go back and forth to work with, the reason I got rid of it was because the heater blend door motor was burning up trying to switch over and last week the 4x4 went outand I'm not sure why and I babied that thing but mow that I'm out of my 08 Expy I'm looking for a first gen Expy perferibly a 99-02 Expy Eddi Bauer edition and I'm now wondering what to look for and watch out when purchesing, any info would be greatly apreciated very much.

Nathan, feel in the driver's foot well area for wet carpeting. After that, take the truck out to a dirty/gravel parking lot and put the truck into 4 lo, make a small loop, then put it back in AWD. After that, take a look on the side of the block where the exhaust manifolds attach. See how many studs are broken off. You may also see some black carbon "dust" on the front and rear ends of the exhaust manifold (on the block itself). If you see the dust, you have an exhaust leak.

Beyond that, the rest is going to be pretty self evident. If you are interested in a lifted 97 XLT, let me know. Nukie is for sale.

I like my 97 cause of the beefy front bumper. Without that bumper, my truck would have been totaled before I ever even got my license...

Ageed on the trim so I painted mine. I never understood why ford would paint a expy white with gold trim and grey interior......

Hey I like the 2 tone paint look but we all have our opinions, I was looking at a 99 estate gren Eddi Bauer online but it will be a little bit to save up for an expy but rest asure that im getting one :0
