Tranny help

I was driving down the road the other day around 50 mph & I hit the brakes to slow down as the car in front of me was turning left. When I hit the gas to accelerate, it was like the vehicle was in Neutral. Now it wont go into any gear & when put the gearshift in the PARK position, I hear gears grinding for a few seconds. WTH? I checked the gear shift all the way to the tranny & it seems to be working properly..... Any Suggestions?

I hate to tell you this and maybe you already know. But your trans. needs to be rebuilt. It seems likely your pump failed.
