Finally got mine back with a “new” transmission installed. They told me it was a new crate trans. I can’t decipher from the RO if it’s new or factory rebuilt. We’ve put 900 miles on it. It’s better than before, but still not perfect.
Upshifts are smooth but 5-3 and 3-1 downshifts still clunk occasionally. We’ve got to be done with the re/learn period by now?? As soon as we get thru the holidays I plan on trading it in.

Looks like you did get the newly designed CDF drum on your transmission. My 2024 xlt, built in November 2023, has the same symptom as yours.

I have a 2019 Limited. I was having some issues with the transmission shifting rough and feeling jerky. I wasn’t sure if it was normal with the 10 speed. I took it to the Ford dealership on May 28th and a few days later they told me the transmission needs a full overhaul at 67K miles for a cost of $8,400. It’s been there ever since. I bought an extended warranty plan and they are covering about $7,400 and I have to pay the difference. I just purchased this vehicle back in December of last year. Im extremely disappointed with this and I’m heavily considering selling it. I really need some advice from my fellow owners…

Such a rip these Ford dealers. You can buy a 10r80 for 4k and even a upgraded heavy duty parts with the new mods for 4k. Never understand why they spend the time to rebuild them in house and hold the customers card hostage for weeks instead of a 1 day transmission swap. Wait I know why, billable hours.
