The thing is, every Expy owner doesn't experience the delay!

Yeah that is the strange thing. I wonder if there is a service notice for a reprogram.

I wouldn't expect such though since these come out of the same plant and some 2018s have the issue, some don't. Same for 2019...

Bit of an old thread but my newly purchased 2017 also has the gear engagement delay issue. It isn't 2-3 seconds, more like 1.5 seconds but that's still annoying. When I select "D" I expect to go! I suspect it's purposely engineered that way to extend the life of the trans but I don't like that feature at all!
