Transmission temperature increasing with age?

18 month old expy platinum...when first got it, I only saw 210+ transmission temps when towing...today, I was 210 just with two passengers on a hilly country road going 50-60mph and otherwise empty...I'll admit weather was hot. A month back, hit 230+ towing on a mild weather day...not that many miles on the expy but it sees intense use.

Platinum with max tow has the aux transmission cooler.

Any suggestions or ideas how to avoid issues down the road?

Keep in mind the 10R80’s normal operating range is 206F-215F. And is cooled with a heat exchanger in the transmission that uses the radiator fluid. The HD Tow gives you a bigger radiator to help with overall cooling. Weather, driving habits, load and speed all effect both the trans and engine temp. They also go up and come back down pretty fast. You know you have a problem if they go up and stay there. I have towed in AZ and NV heat and typically see 225-230 on the trans temp and engine temp is usually 5-6 degrees cooler for extended times with zero problems.

Do the radiator Louvers ever go into a stay open mode, when of outside air temps are well above freezing?
Ex. when the AC is on, or when Towing?

I’ve noticed a slight uptick in my trans temp as well. FWIW I’m in a ‘18 Navi Reserve with tow package. It’s not much of N increase but enough for me to notice… about 5-8 degrees. It started at around 40k miles.

My dumb question of the day: how do I check the tranny fluid in these? The manual says "there's no dipstick...see your dealer".

Is that different than my 2003 & 2014 which (I believe) run transmission fluid to the radiator for cooling and then back to tranny. There is even a secondary "radiator" (for my years) in that loop, since I have the HD Tow Package. Apologize if wrong. Different years do different stuff.
