trasmission compatabilty question

long story short I wrecked my 08 expedition, I wreck the frame and that's all. it has a 6R75 transmission.

I am looking at at 2011 expedition. Transmission is a 6R80 transmission. can i donate the 2008 expedtion trassmisson to the 2011?

I'm no authority on this, but since you haven't had any responses here you go. I would say yes, same engine should be same bellhousing pattern. I would definitely keep the computer with the 08 in case the 11 electronics don't work well with the 08. There are definitely better forums to ask this question. The tech side here doesn't have a ton of depth.
