i got a 2000 ford expedition with 4.6l, was driving fine, truck sat for couple days went to go to store and when i turned i could tell it was in 4x4, i have the awd mode and 4hi and 4low. put truck in neutral and put brake on and move the turn knob from awd to 4hi and nothing the 4x4 light came on put it in 4low and i could hear it go into 4low, then put it into 4hi i heared it go into 4hi, then move the knob to awd and nothing no noise the 4x4 light shut off but still in 4hi, so i put a new transfer case shift motor in the expedition and the same problem stuck in 4hi, i then unbolted the motor and while i was under the truck had my wife put truck in neutral and switch the 4x4 knob to all the modes and the motor does move for the awd, 4hi,4low, with doing that i know it knob works and every thing run to the transfer case switch motor works and the motor works, what else could it be. looking for it to get this out of 4hi, some one told me most likly a vacuum hose coming off the 2wd hub solenoid or another hose, i just dont know where to find these hoses any ideas what problem may be or what i need to look for. or videos or instructions to find these hose or other problems ... thanks please post resullts.... and note i was in neutral and had brake on, i also drove in reverse for over a block. unhooked the battery nothing, truck was to normal running temps, drove it around town still did not come out! thanks for any help

what i really need right now is to know where i find the vacum hoses are at i read a pink hose is for the 2wd but i cant find it removed battery not their, if theirs pictures or a video please help thanks

The 2000 expy is a All Wheel Drive/ 4Hi/4Lo system It does not have Two wheel drive capabilities Therefore it does not use Vacuum Solenoids for the IWE which is does not have. Although the video is full of good information it does not apply to the 2000 expeditions. The Awd 4X4 systems on the 99 thru 2002 expedition use electric controls for the system
