Don't put them there.

Your under hood is VERY hot, and decals will either smolder and attach to your hood and then melt, or just fall off from all the hot air and dust. The material the factory stickers are made from is not just some sticker stuff, its treated for heat and dust.

Yeah, I know that. I'm talking about the stock stickers that go on the panel over top of the radiator.

I bet if you go online, somebody's offering them. Hell you can get all the originals for collector cars why not our suv's. I'll bet if you check with company's like Npd or one of the similar collector car books. They probably make them. Just curious why not Ford dealer? They can go on parts locater if Ford no longer makes them.

There's a guy on eBay that's selling a first generation radiator cover with stickers. I keyed up under hood stickers ford expedition. Check it out.

Yeah. I do vinyl lettering for signs and have done lots of custom stickers/decals and graphics for under hood applications. If the vinyl holds up on the hoods of commercial vehicles, in 100+ deg weather, it will surly hold up under hoods.

You guys aren't reading his post. He just wants replacement oem stickers for his radiator shroud. He doesn't want hello kitty under his hood!

They are just defending the "it never broke for me, so it must be a good idea" principal. On trucks this size its probably not an issue, but as a Jeep'r, I have seen more than one cause issues (but the 4.0 is notoriously hot) and it was usually some fool littering it with his grenade and monster energy stickers, not good vinyl or professionally made.

I have seen a sticker take the upper radiator hose of an engine with it when opening the hood. Its not fun to watch or clean up.

You can probably PRINT your own OEM stickers. with a decent picture, and the right sizes, find a local print shop (or even an officemax or office depot) and they can probably do it for you. Or your own computer if you have a laser printer, just buy the correct stock if possible.

Yeah they do that all the time on the show american restoration. I'll bet some Ford dealer has a set of his stickers. I can't tell you how many times a friend of mine that works at the Dealer here in Daly City where I live, go on his dealer part locater, and finds my part. He's done that with the last 5 fords and Lincoln's I've owned. Just a thought if all he wants is oem stickers!

That's true but it's entertaining, and teaches you a thing or too.

They push what they think you want to see and hear. Been that way for years. Kinda like car makers they make what they want not you. Luckily some are worth buying. Can you imagine if they would build these expeditions and f150's right. We wouldn't be going through these headaches with things like stripped spark plugs, electrical gremlins, and all the other junk we shouldn't have issues. But they don't and we keep buying them. Pretty silly when you think about it!
