Unibody construction

I was searching online for specifications on my 2018 Expedition and came across this:

Notice it says “Unibody” construction. I had thought Expeditions are body-on-frame construction. I have not crawled under mine yet to investigate. What say you?

It's a BoF. The frame is a modified F-150 chassis. That's gotta be a typo on their end. Otherwise, that's some high level derp right there.

I got that line once about my 1992 Grand Marquis from ICBC (our vehicle insurance agency). They clarified and said it's a unibody mounted to a full frame. I could see the same may apply to the Expedition.

Either that, or it was a way to backpedal!

I found the same marketing spec sheet for the 2020. Still says "Unibody" lol.
