Most Themes will work other than the 10.1 ones. Those are for the vertical Explorer and the horizontal Lincoln’s.

That's funny. If that is truly the case, it's like saying - hey current owners, thanks for buying our product but we care far less about you right now, future buyers have priority... Love it. Not to mention that legally, in some cases that would literally lead to safety issues for current owners, that should be regulated by NHTSA...
Touché, I believe Ford's number one financial concern right now is warranty repair liabilities. So I get that shutting down lines means a loss of future sales, but crappy assembly, and crappy part quality (hence the warranty liability) will cost just as much or more than lost sales. They are already laying folks off unfortunately, but a few major lawsuits due to vehicles that are possibly unsafe to drive because of part delays will add up to. I get it, they have insurance policies for that, but what a mess... I still don't have a sprayer assembly for the front camera housing, going on a month now.
Just updated to the newest cyanlab Sync release. Took about 20 mins or abit less. I didn't do the maps as I already have the F19 map version. Haven't played with it yet, but posted comments mention snappier car play execution and quicker map screens.
I had 282. Just put in 351. I don't have any time in the truck since installing it this morning. It installed easily and in a decently short time. I'll check it out this afternoon! You do 282 or 351? 351 has been reported on some forums to have issues. Some have reported good, but I would not jump to it yet. I installed it 2 weeks ago on my Explorer, so far so good...but we will see.
Part shortages are across all OEM’s right now - latest are semiconductors which are also halting lines.
I had to battle availability for a new torque converter for my 16 Explorer for over 1 month back last September, with the car undriveable at the dealer. All the dealer could do is apologize saying no parts available, and place me in different loaners to keep their miles down. Part shortages are not from ford, but from the suppliers. However, prioritization comes from contractual agreements between the OEM’s and the suppliers.
I understand your frustrations, but what you highlight as losses in the aftermarket are indirect losses, while immediately shutting the line down with the running costs of the plant are considered more direct costs, and are immediately tangible.
Will all the customers affected by aftermarket part shortages never buy ford’s again? Some will. I traded in the explorer 2 days after I got it back for the expy. Consider me stubborn, but I swore off GM products, and needed this size SUV.
Can you calculate all the customers upset and their actions to equal $20-50K USD each minute not having their missing part(s)? Probably not, and I’m sure the bean counters at the OEM’s also can’t.
Was just about to do 351 as most of the reviews on the cyanlabs forum show positive to no changes. Literally just wrote the USB.
I upgraded to Sync 3.4.20351 this afternoon, so far no issues. Took 15 mins (no maps needed | already have M19) Switching apps/menu pages is noticeably quicker. I did do 2 hard reboots (power + >>) out of good habit. Will report if negatives show up.

This black screen happened to me yesterday as wellSo far pretty good, except that the blank screen issue while connected to a Pixel3 via AAuto seems be back. Meaning when staring the vehicle with a phone attached may cause a blank screen in the head unit. Audio still plays fine, but if you unplug the phone via USB and plug it back in, it corrects itself immediately. I encountered this issue probably 3 or 4 versions ago but it seems to be back in 351.
Just upgraded to 351. That new installer tool is awesome. Will report any issues, but so far so good.
