Hello!
New to the forum.
I have a 2016 XLT. Bought as a base model. Added remote start, trailer brake, Sync 3. Decided to keep it long term and will add a couple more features.
Next is power lift gate. Has anyone upgraded a non-power to a power lift gate?
As I added remote start, I have the keys with the power lift gate button. Seems the lock controller (AL1Z-14B291-C) is already in it. When I double click the lift gate button on the key I can hear it actuate.
Looks like I would need the latch assembly (7L1Z-7843150-B), the actuator assembly (AL1Z-14B351-A), and the right and left sensors (4L7Z-78406A76-AA and 4L7Z-78406A77-AA)?
Is there any other hardware to add?
Do I need to enable the feature through forscan?
Really appreciate the help!!

Someone please jump in if I’m missing something here…

Used my VIN to pull up parts list for vehicle with power lift gate. The following diagram came up. I scratched out what I believe are the parts not needed.
