Service question....

Hey guys

I have got 2013 Expedition and I'm ain't using it much, it's been 8 months since i last serviced my car and it has done about 2500 miles-most of the time it's parked in my underground parking, I warm my car at least once a week.

what i wanna ask is should i take it for service?

Cheers

Why is that urgent? Change the oil filter if you must. Otherwise should be fine.

The oil change interval should be 5,000 miles or so.

The only thing that I would suggest is that when you warm it up, make sure that the truck gets to full operating temp. That way it will burn off any moisture that can accumulate in the engine block, exhaust, etc.

I would also put some Sta-Bil or valvtect fuel treatment in it. Sitting that long can allow the crappy ethanol fuel to separate. (and you don't want that to happen)

LOL!!! Besides changing oil.. I guess the next urgent thing is warping of the tires...
Change the oil, drive it out of stall, reverse back into stall.. All will be fine..

Are you familiar with how Salt and Sugar can be used to preserve things? Such as a Salt Cured Ham?

Well, this is what you want to do. Add about 16oz of Salt to the fuel tank and allow the truck to run until it stalls. All the lines, pumps, filters, tanks, injectors, etc will be coated and thus, protected! :worthy:

You've never heard of people pouring sugar in a gas tank? And I thought I lived under a rock. Hahaha. Sorry, I had to be mean too

Yeah its a good thing if you serviced it. 5000 or 6 months is what I live by, but I always hit 5000 before the 6 month mark. I would also recommend driving it around the block until it warms up. You don't want flat spots in the tires or dry parts of the suspension.

Also not sure if you understood the joke but DO NOT put salt in your gas tank haha.

sounds like it needs to be driven more than it needs to be serviced If you like bring it up to PA and I will take care of it for you I'll make sure it gets driven and serviced Would love to tote around in a newer expy
