I've got a small oil leak coming out of the back of my passenger side valve cover. It's not a big leak, but it leaks just enough each time I drive that it gets on the manifold and smells. My question is should I replace the gasket with a new one, or would I be able to reuse the gasket and put some silicone on it. I will probably just get a new one, but adding some silicone will be a little cheaper.

Thanks,
Zerick

i herd never to add silicone to a head gasket or manifold gasket. cause it ca get inside and damage components. but if you only ad a little bit then youll be fine. but just get a new gasket that way you know you got a good seal.
