I have had a 2000 Expedition since new. I have experienced a vibration in the driveline from day one. This vibration gets worse the faster the truck is driven. The noise is loud enough that it is bothersome.
It's been to the dealer many times. After replacing the front
driveshaft and the pinion gears, they simply told me that this condition is normal for a truck, and they were through throwing parts into it without knowing what the problem is.
They tried 4 different wheels/tires, and I've replaced the original tires.
I have 38,000 miles on the truck now. Incidently, the right exhaust manifold had a broken stud (rear) and the head had to be replaced as a result recently.
Anyone have any insight on the vibration? I've had the Transmission serviced, and sent a sample of the fluid in for analysis, and it was "normal."
