I'd like larger tires (height & width, if possible, but height most) on my stock '07 Expedition without changing wheel sizes. How far can I go without clearance issues? (I'm already thinking LT tires, but can't get a straight answer yet...)

First off you'll want to find out if the computer can be programmed for the larger tire diameter. That'll throw off the speedometer and vehicle speed sensing, which could have an effect on antilock brakes.

I'm running 35s. Computer be damned. No errors. No problem with abs.
35s will give you clearance issues. I hear there are a few threads about tires. Look at the 33 Inch tires.

ABS detects differences in rotational speed of the wheels. Matched tires -- same size on all wheels -- should not upset the Expedition. My 'lil Honda S2000 has a "staggered" tire setup with 215mm width on the front and 255mm on the rear but the tire profiles are different and the tires themselves have an outside diameter close enough to each other to not bother ABS. Rears are 40 profile, fronts are 45.

Great ideas, and whatever I can do will encompass computer reprogramming; I plan on re-programming the computer eventually anyway, so maybe I'll have to do both at once. I understand the ride will be harsher; I'm used to much harsher from a box truck, so as long as I can find tires that will fit the stock rims, I'm good with it.
