weight capacity

Hi guys, maybe you can help me clear something up. my 04 xlt states on the door sticker that the "combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 723 kg. or 1,595 lbs."....now with eight peopleat an average of 175 lbs. apiece, that only leaves 195 lbs. for any cargo....does this seem right?Or am I just not understanding something here? Thanks for any helpyou can give.

I believe you are understanding correctly.

Oh, by the way...do you tow anything? That number has to include the trailer tongue weight as well, which will be around 200 lbs.

The good news is that if you tow something, you can leave the mother-in-law home (the "eighth" person) !!!
