Weird Re-start

Hi, I have a 2000 ford expy with less than 100,000 miles. Has the 5.4...
Runs really well, but just recently. After driving a long distance with the air on. I shut the air off before turning off the vehicle. Let the vehicle sit for a few minutes. Shopping....etc.. I started it, and it idled rough, and stalled. I waited a couple, started it, and it ran fine. This happened to me twice. Don't have any lights coming on or anything. Would I find a code without a warning light?

Could be the IAC motor. I have a similar thing with my mustang. If I put the AC on the poor idle goes away. (the ac tells the iac to bump up the idle to make up for the increased load on the motor)

That would be cool. Seems like an in-expensive fix. I only drive it once a week. Spent saturday morning grinding rust out from under the drivers side door. Then painted it with rust-oleum rust reform. Little work here, little work there. Thanks.
