Looking for opinions on a selling price for a 2006 Limited Cashmere pearl coat, 61,000 original miles. Loaded with normal stuff except moonroof and navigation. Only negatives are plastic molding on rear hatch is broken.

it is extremely clean in and out!

Actual private party book value I'd guess somewhere in the 7-8 range if it is truly pristine. Now whether you easily find a buyer for a 15yr old vehicle that has 8k cash lying around is another story. No one is getting a loan on that, well not a smart person anyway as the interest would likely be high being a personal loan.

If it weren't a 3v that's something I'd be interested in personally as I'm considering finding an low mileage replacement for my 03 before anything major decides to creep up on me.

You selling or buying?

In either case, 61k miles is gonna be a hard sell.

For all intents and purposes treat it the same as 161k miles in good cosmetic condition. Maybe as slightly WORSE, since people tend to suspect that ridiculously low miles are either scammy or indicate a lemon truck that spent most of its life between dealerships and service stations

I'd be more concerned with the frame if it's been driven on salted roads up there. They usually rust out to a shell underneath. On an early 3V motor? I'd pass.

Beware the spark plugs. I would not buy one with the stupid two piece plugs - i’d look for evidence they had already been replaced.
I got a car fax with mine showing the sparkplug replacement.

All valid concerns and why I personally wouldn't touch this vehicle. Early 3v for likely top dollar that will need considerable maintenance with my driving habits as it's so low miles nothing has likely needed much done but me taking it to 100k mi within 2 years will dictate quite a few things be kept up with where if I'd gone for something higher mileage, but maintained and if I lucked out where things had been serviced recently I could get a good while with out any major outlay of cash or time before regular intervals come due again. That's how my current 03 was and why I didn't hesitate to purchase a 200k mi vehicle. Barring some major unexpected failure the normal things had already been dealt with as issues for the previous owner. It definitely could be the right vehicle for someone, ideally someone else who drives little.

This is a great vehicle If it is rust free, documentation of new spark plugs at some point and oil changes using Motorcraft oil filters.
