Was the more noise from the tire (brand) or having it as 18” rim?

Most definitely the type of tire. Rim size has nothing to do with it but I have noticed the wider tires make more noise then a skinner tire. I put 325/65r18 Duratracs on my previous F350 and the tires were noticeably louder then the 275/70r18s Duratracs on it before (enough difference that I was looking for a bad bearing at the beginning).

I’m curious to see what will be on the ‘19’s, but I’m planning on trading whatever they are for Michelin Defender LTX M/S before mine leaves the lot.

Exactly. Anyone who’s owned them, says the same thing. I changed to these Michelin’s before the vehicle was plated.

This is my first set of something other than Michelin’s since 2005. I came from a much smaller car so I can’t really tell if the Hankook Dynopro suck or not but once these wear out I’ll more than likely go back to Michelin’s.
