Ended up being the caliper itself, did the brake bleed test and there was not any crazy back pressure.

MY GOD......I just ended up dropping $1900 on upkeep and immediate repairs on my 01 Exp EB with 122K.
Normal maintenance stuff initially:
- Oil Change
- Injector Flush/Service
- Alignment
- Double checking on why ABS light was constantly on.

But my new 5 month old brakes were making some weird noise and I had some annoying knocking under the floor board (drivers side) going on...why did they find out:
- ALL the shocks were shot (5 year old Monroes)...replacement was done
- My ball joints were completely shot (mystery of noise)...so those were replaced
- My ABS module had completely failed...so they found a used refurb one and got it install and corrected.
- Nothing wrong with brakes they pulled them re-inspected them, cleaned them up a little more, reinstalled...no more noise.

The parts total was not that bad....but the labor killed me in the end.

Had the Krown treatment for second year in a row today. Three years without Krown before that. There is a small amount of rust from before I owned the vehickel, but overall its in GREAT shape for living in Salt City USA. This pic shows the worst rust. 2014EL with 84K smiles. The rockers are absolutely pristine inside & out. I add Fluid Film treatment and even handfuls of grease in spots right before winter. The spare has gotten Fluid Film and that with road dust over last year has made a black coating that will really protect it. Will be messy if I ever have to change a flat or AAA does!

Guy said Krown went to a new formulation this year that drips less than previous

Got an oil change at Valvoline today, my standard process now that I'm OLD and decrepit.
Almost went for semi synthetic but that was $78, so stayed with conventional. $12 off coupon.
Only 4500 miles on old oil, but it looked dirty & I'm about to go on an 8K miles trip out west.
84K miles and it doesn't consume any oil between changes.
Air filter was pretty good but did that also, only 18K miles on that.
Better for breathing and I like the idea that air flow intake is …. c l e a n
Cant treat the old girl too good can you? when Momma's happy, everybodys happy

Picked up more gym equipment w/ the old gal. In the midst of building the home gym, I have now taken on a side gig flipping equipment. :x

I should do my oil change also (4,650 mi), but I'm beat. Maybe tomorrow.

There’s a couple more pics, and the truck still has independent suspension all around and has a 3.5”/2.5” suspension lift kit with heavy duty springs and a 1.5” body lift. So about 5” and that and the custom and a little trimming I clear the 37s easy, also has 4.56 gears and a built billet tranny.
That roof rack came from Yakima, it’s called megawarrior and it has one extension on it.

In the near future it will have a 4.75” F150 lift in the front and further in the future it will be straight axle swapped in the rear to either a GM 14 bolt with 6 lug hubs or just a 9.75 open diff out of an F150.
Thanks

Changed the oil. I just did my wife's Mazda the other day, so today I especially appreciated how nice it is to change the oil without ramps, etc.

Hauled more equipment today. With the trailer, I'd estimate 7,500 lbs in tow. The old girl did pretty well. She towed it pretty easily save for a couple steep hills where I probably approached the hill too slowly. Engine temps mostly < 200F and trans temps mostly < 190F aside from a few jumps here and there due to traffic conditions and the 90F ambient temp.
