Hi all,
Just recently purchased a 1997 ford expedition 4wd eddie bauer edition. I noticed there is a ribbon cable that is just hanging there under the driver side dash that appears to have been cut by the previous owner. The cable has a plug that almost looks like a ethernet cable and plugs into a silver box under the driver side dash. I was wondering what is the cable for, and where is the other end of it supposed to plug in so I can fix it properly. My expy does have a couple trouble codes, but the check engine light does not illuminate, nor does the cruise control light work. Does that wire have something to do with that, or is it unrelated?
