What is this?

Today this little thing popped up on the display. It is shaped like 4 little diamonds, each pointing a different direction. Same design on what is on the steering wheel. Same height and directly to the left as the word FM

The arrows correspond to the buttons on the steering wheel for control of that display. In your picture, it's telling you that you can push any of the four buttons and the display will change to another screen. If, say, the right-most arrow was greyed out, that means there is nothing that can be accessed by pushing the right button.
