Anyone have any details on a how-to write up or video on replacing the front wheel bearings?

My front driver side is bad and I need to replace it. Not sure if the wheel bearings are the same as the f-150s and can simply follow one of those vids or not.

Appreciate the help.

I would bet they are the same on the 2015+ F150. Looks like a pretty simple R&R

I just did my front on a 2013 Expedition, 2WD. Easy as pie. Biggest problem was getting the ABS sensor connector done while the vehicle was jacked up(I'm 5'6") It's an hour job if you don't keep drinking coffee, talking to friends, etc. Tools needed 19mm, 21mm sockets, 8mm, 10 mm also, brake caliper compression, just to push pads apart a little bit. Anti-seize, and a torque wrench.

I've done this job many times on older Expeditions and all of mine had significant New York rust seizing the hubs into the knuckles. Assuming this is a Tennessee truck, you shouldn't have those problems. Everything else in the job goes pretty easily if you have the proper tools.

Ford asks that you not reuse the nuts on the ball joint and tie rod end. They are Nylock nuts, but I reused them with Loctite. Otherwise get replacements from the dealer. You'll need a big socket for the axle nut (4x4) along with a torque wrench and you should spray the sway bar links with penetrating oil for a few days prior to starting. Good time to replace older rusted ones you might have to cut off.

Most importantly, make sure you are replacing the correct side. Vibration travels, and it's not uncommon to replace the wrong side, the first time.

Many of the You-Tube videos show unnecessary work. Think through the job before you follow amateur recommendations blindly. Some of these guys shouldn't be allowed to have tools.

If the hub is rusted in place, and you can't get it out with oil and heat, Amazon sells a leveraging bar that bolts onto the lugs and is beaten with a sledge hammer. It works and arrives overnight. I know.

And for the Love of God, buy a $ 232 Motorcraft replacement part. Moog has been junk for years and any $60 hub from the Internet will have you doing the job over -- in February, guaranteed. I learned that too.

The wheel hub replacement is super easy. (Bearing is in the hub) Buy Ford parts for this!

Remove brake caliper and rotor (and maybe the dust shield) there are four bolts that hold the hub in place. Once removed clean up old grease and re grease everything. Then reinstall. (Forget torque spec for bolts)

I have a post somewhere when I did mine, shows what it looks like all removed.
