Where is door open sensor

I have a 2011 Expedition. What sensor is telling the car the door is open? If I hold the door closed but pull on the outside door handle, the car doesn't think the door is open, but if I open the door just a tiny amount, it's able to detect it. I want to tap into the door open signal.

In the older models the "Door Ajar Switch" is located with the door latch at the bottom. I don't have the manuals for the 2011's so I can't be sure of the exact location on yours.
