The Ford inventory search tool shows 47 Expeditions "in stock" or "just arrived" at dealers within 100 miles of Chicago. 8 are Tremors.

Since I started this thread I figured I’d give you an update. My build went into production on 2/27. I got an email from ford saying there was an unexpected delay on 3/6. Ford order tracker still says in production. I’m tempted to go and buy one of the Tremors on nearby dealer lots. I haven’t heard of any delays affecting tremors, like the wheel delay with the Platinums. So I’m worried it’s specific to mine. I’m wondering if Ford prioritizes orders to dealers with better sales, customer satisfaction, etc. Any thoughts?
Just got another email from Ford stating they are continuing to experience a delay. No other explanation. WTF?

Hello Everyone
I just got word that my Platinum Ultimate with the 24 inch wheels is being built the week of June 9th. Good things come to those that wait! My order date was October 28th

There is a retail ultimate at Koons Ford Baltimore that someone didn’t pick up. Its been there for 2 weeks. The dealer added an $800 charge to the MSRP. Ridiculous!

For those with delays - Ford has issued a safety recall for potentially defective engines for thousands of vehicles, including some 2025 Expedition models: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2025/RCMN-25V198-7062.pdf

This may be the reason for the delay.

Ford still hasn’t figured out their poor quality issues and continuing high number of safety recalls.

Since I have the VIN, is there a way to find out if mine is affected? Or will it not get listed since it hasn’t been delivered yet?

I'm not sure - but I'd bet your Ford dealer could determine if the new vehicle is affected, using the VIN Ford provided?

Inside looks like a spaceship, not a truck. Disappointing b/c I was looking forward to the Tremor package. They should have went newer like the new Land Cruiser interior... futuristic but still masculine. Would have gladly traded my 22 Timberline but I'm keeping it for now. Exterior not sexy either. Ugh Ford, who the hell are designing these.

I understand...I was thinking that that were going to be people who love the interior / exterior looks and people who hate it.

For me...Coming from a 2017 Yukon Denali without the new tech...(bigger screens and 360 cameras etc...), I was ready for something different. My Yukon was also the white color which was nice but again....wanted something very different.

I looked closed at the build dates affected. Mine didn’t go into production until after 2/27. So mine is good. Thanks.
Hello, has there been any progress with your order? My situation is quite similar to yours. My order was confirmed on October 29th last year, and it entered production on February 21st this year. However, there have been no updates since then. I tried to contact my sales representative, but apart from receiving an internal screenshot marked as "NON SHIPPABLE," I have not gotten any further information.

I did some research myself and even managed to find the VIN and order number by searching nearby inventory. Then I called a local Ford dealer pretending to be a potential buyer interested in a vehicle to inquire about the current situation from the manufacturer. I received two unconfirmed pieces of information:

  1. The manufacturer is conducting quality control inspections, which is quite normal and standard procedure for a newly redesigned model.
  2. After some vehicles were shipped from the factory last month, they encountered hailstorms, resulting in damage to some vehicles. Ford is prioritizing repairs on those damaged vehicles, which has caused overall delivery delays. (This information came from my local dealer, where a repaired official "like-new" vehicle from Kentucky is expected to arrive soon.)

My dealer said the same thing about quality control inspections. I haven’t heard about hail damage, which I’d be surprised because mine will be shipped via rail and they are, mostly, enclosed. So the hail would have to be from truck transport, I assume.

The order tracker website was last updated 2/27 marked in production. Ford emailed me 3/6 saying they have experienced unexpected delays. Ford emailed me again on 4/20 saying they are following up on my build but are continuing to experience unexpected delays. My dealer said they have no information other than what I already have, or won’t give me the info if they have it. There are a few ‘25 tremors on lots near me, and several more within a couple hundred miles. I’m tempted to just go get one off the lot. I’m growing inpatient at this point. It’s been nearly 6 months with no end in sight.

Our family is currently negotiating with Ford to get us into the newer model. Currently in lemon law buyback discussions because the right mirror would frequently not unfold and they already failed to fix it several times now.

When newly-assembled vehicles leave the assembly line at most auto plants, the vehicles go to a large parking lot where they sit and wait for transport. The rumor is that some vehicles at Kentucky Truck Plant were damaged by hail.

Here's a link to Google Maps for the transportation contractor at KTP. In the satellite view, you can see all the new Super Duties, Expedition, and Navigators waiting to be loaded onto the rail cars on the right side of the storage lot. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ydDSpyjsFhVDrJ4v6

Today I did some more research and found that many people are mentioning issues like hail damage on vehicles and a shortage of 24-inch wheels. Also, I'm not sure if my order delay is related to the second-row bench seat I selected (2-3-3 seating layout), because based on my search within a 1000-kilometer radius, almost all available inventory comes with second-row captain's chairs.
I really hope I can get my vehicle by mid-May, as I have a family trip planned.

Ordered yesterday, after too much research, Max Plat w/ SPP! Wife finally got to drive one and liked it so done deal, liked the screens and the steering wheel which were the two things I had concerns about. Don't love the pano black tailgate but can live with it and think it will grow on me, saw a white platinum ultimate in the real world the other day and looked sharp.
