I have 3 kids (I have them every other week) and my step daughter. Which is why we bought a Expedition. My wife had to take the kids to school in a 4 door escort with 2 car seats in back. No fun. Took like 5 mins for the kids to get buckled up after almost killing each other. Now we have tons of room.

I have six boys, so we use every seat. We still have space for the groceries, but we take a trailer when we travel. The sixth boy was what got us out of the minivan. The boys all have plans for my truck, but it has to serve as an overgrown minivan for awhile. It s way cooler than having a full size van, and it is much more fun in the snow.

1 girl 4yrs old. went from an 07 kia spectra to this... i saw an accident that actually involved a kia spectra and an expedition. the kia got rear ended and the trunk was literally "in" the passenger seat. within 2 weeks of seeing that we traded the kia for the X... the wife loves driving it ( she actually told me to make it louder : ), i feel safe in it, and my daughter loves having a "monster truck".lol. we also have our niece 8 and nephew 4 over often and its nice being able to fit 2 car seats in the 2nd row comfortably and neice gets the back all to herself. plus the 4wd is nice to have too... ( dealer didnt even know it was 4wd and said the "carb might be dirty" cuz it didnt start right away, lol just needed a jump from sitting and got an awesome deal.) i think its the perfect family vehicle...

I'll chime in, I have no kids...yet. I have hauled a few people so far but haven't used the third row yet. It's in my room right now and the spare tire sits in the back until I get another hoist for it.

Really the only reason we have one.

Otherwise would definitely roll in a 3/4 ton truck for camping and road trips. Something smaller for around town.

That said, it's pretty great for this time in our life.

2 girls and 2 boys and no place left for the stuff!! I removed the 2nd row center bench so the 2 oldest could easily reach the 3rd row seats and the 2 toddlers are on the 2nd row. We installed a Clarion tv/dvd and the kids love it! I wish I could have a Expy "L" for the extra trunk space though!

I have a 4 month old daughter. Most times we go someplace, it's my girlfriend and I, the baby, and my girlfriend's grandmother. Plus, the stroller, diaper back and all the stuff that comes with it.

1 year old, another coming this July, and we're planning for one more. So while it's pretty empty now, it will be filled up with car seats in a couple years lol.

This is exactly what we did. We have 3 kids, one tween a toddler and an infant. We wanted the babies in captains chairs second row and wanted the oldest to be able to get to the third row through the center. Removing the middle 2nd row seat (I think the seat is 40/20/40) works perfectly. We purchased some mats made for the Expedition that has the second row captains chairs off of Ebay and it looks factory (except no hand rests, ofcourse). Now, if only making it a 4x4 was as easy.

Would have loved to have had an Expy when my twin boys were growing up, but no such luck. But now we do have room for them and their wives to all go someplace together. And the better half has already mentioned the extra space for future grandkids. So there ya go, still a family rig. Just in the process of adding a generation.

No kiddos for me, I'm 6'7" and this is the only rig that was cheap, fit me well, could haul all my friends around, is 4x4, is reliable, and can tow a house. Not to mention looks pretty darn schmexy!

I've had 8 people in the truck at once before and it was comfy cozy! Regularly have up to 6 at once as well :)

I'm getting married in September and my fiance loves it and swears we cannot ever get a minivan... WIN!!

I have 3 sons, they are all grown and married now, but I wish I had an Expedition when they were younger. I had an 87 Bronco back then and the hassle of getting them in and out of the back seat was irritating.
