I know its not ideal, but would I be able to fit 315/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs on my factory suspension for a couple of weeks until I can do the rear coil conversion with spacers and torsion twist up front? Ordinarily I would wait, but a guy wants to trade me straight across for my 285's and he is moving out of town soon. I guess I could possibly do the twist while I was waiting for the rear parts. idk, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the rear would probably be okay but you would def wanna do the twist right away. then you can wait till you get your conversion kit.

i would have to say no. you could probably get away with a 9" wide rim but i am pretty sure 7 is going to be too narrow.

Buy some cheap 16x9 or 16x10 steelies (craigslist or ebay for $200 or less is common) and mount those 315's. Then crank your keys and bulldog it until your spacers come in.

from what i have seen online you could get away with a 16x8" rim. that would have to be the smallest. it says that you have a range of 8-10 for rim width.

there are a few people on f150online.com that are running 315s on stock rims... they can work but its gonna be tight... problem with a 315 on wider rim is it is too wide for a stock height expy or f150...

true, but you also dont want the rim too small cuz that thing will be ready to blow at the seems with one bad pothole!

i stand corrected. i did not think you could fit them on a 7" rim....hell, i say go for it then and then get wider rims in the future.

the whole leaning nicknames thing is as follows...
front up is bulldoggin (look at a bulldog) also known as cali lean
front down is stink bug (look at one)

as for the tires question. i ran 315s for a good while on my stock 17x7.5" rims. no lift no problems. with tt and spacers with 8s is best 10s with 35s rub a lil on the back of the wheel well if u run mud tires with big side lugs. all terrains are fine i now have 315 nitto terras. no rub at all...

i always thought bull doggy was rear high front low. just looks like one cause of how they look, but i see how that can be on most english bull dogs. i still like cali lean better. less confusing.
