Made a winch mount for my 2003. I welded a hitch in the front so I can use it in the front or rear. ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21365633239.762904.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk 21365633253.913022.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk 21365633267.114133.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk 21365633285.231036.jpg

Do yourself a favor and make your own dont buy that smitty mount they suck. I got my truck stuck in the snow one day a buddy had one so I put it in the rear hitch. Long story short I bent the damn mount pulling it out. They are made out of sheet metal. And the stinger is thin.

How did that winch mount work out? Looks like you did a nice job. I have a 2001 Expy. Got stuck in the Tennessee lake muck while on vacation last week. A Flatbed made it out to me and pulled me out. It was stuck so bad that I snapped the front piece off my Hi-Lift jack. I just bought a Badlands 12,000 lb winch and would like to do the same thing. What size winch do you have on there? Joe

Works freaking awesome! The one I have is a 12500 lbs winch. I think its the same as the badlands. 12500 lbs is kinda over kill but I rather b well prepared n have power left over. Be sure to post pics of your progress! One suggestion tho which I have to do myself is change the cable on the winch althought the winch can do 12k lbs the cable cant.

I will post pictures when I get it installed. I just had to replace the whole front end. It was squeaking away. Ball Joints, control arms, tie rods, shocks and a 2 inch lift. I guess being submerged in lake bed muck and water destroyed the right ball joint. Scratched up my mint chrome plastic wheels and broke a few valve stems. Four wheeling is fun. But you F..k things up.

Freaking out

I really need to know what mount you used for your winch...as in the bracket/mount that is bolted to the frame. Any pics? Because all the ones ive found for my expy have the winch attaching UNDER the bumper, rather than through it like yours.
