What a joke!! Just got done installing a new "Dorman" window regulator. I chose to buy a Dorman regulator because it was suppose to be built better than the Ford replacement and $10 cheaper. I can see where the cables look like they are built better, but other than that it's the same thing. The thing that really torques me is that I had to take a file to the piece that goes around the door handle to make it bigger so that I could actually pull the door handle out to open the door. The second problem is the two center screws in the middle of the door panel below the door handle do not line up with the window regulator frame. No way in hell could I even get it close to line up...so the screws just got thrown in the glove box. I would of taken it back, but I feel that when I get a part, it should fit and be able to put everything back together the way it should be and I shouldn't have to waste my time or money returning a piece of crap part that isn't made right in the first place. I have replaced another regulator with the ford style and it went together w/o any problems. So just beware of the Dorman regulator if you choose to purchase one.
