Hey Folks!

Recently purchased a 2000 EB fully loaded, seemed like a steal of a find, 161k miles, engine looked cleaner than our 2012 honda haha.

Only seems to have a few issues with it now.

Heated seats dont work (not a big deal)

The ones I want to get fixed are :

Passenger window was off track, but I took the door apart and re-siliconed it, but now when you go to put the window down it gets a little past 1/4 and it tilts forward , any ideas on what this is? (replace the arm those little U hooks are on - what the window sits in, not sure of their name)

The sunroof - was told it doesnt work, not sure if its off track, so not sure where to start with fixing it.

One of the back windows (far back that open outward) doesnt work. not sure if its a switch? or what, and how simple that would be for me to tackle.

any ideas or helpful advice would be great!

thanks guys!

Heated seats may be a fuse: Check that there is a big enough one, heaters need Amps, so if someone put a smaller one back in.

You have to get the window on track when it is in the DOWN position, and then it will work going up. I suspect you set it up with the window too high, and so the rails are just not right. If you go that far, you can fix it, but you do have to open the door again, lower the window, and watch for where it slides. Its probably a VERY EASY fix, when you see where the problem is.

Cant help you on a sunroof. If its closed and doesn't leak, count your eggs and move on.

The Far Back, (the quarter panel, not door right?) is probably a bad motor. The motors for those style windows fail rather easily. I gave up on mine in my Caravan after 3 motors failed. I know thats a dodge, but the push style actuator is not exactly well designed.

Heated seats If not the fuse most likely a broken heater element Its not unusual for then to fail They can be repaired if your good with a solder iron and can be replaced for about $80.00 each normally its the bottoms that go bad They get the most weight put on them.

Agree with window tracks

Sunroof could be fuse or motor

Rear window First try using a little force to push it out They sometimes stick also spray some silicon spray on the arms it doesn't smell like WD 40

awesome guys, thanks for the info!

You are correct about the window, I only had it about 1/4 of the way down when i slid the window into place. I'll pull it apart and give it another shot!

The sunroof I thought that was the best option, (fine with me staying closed haha)

I'll check the fuse first, I am ok with a soldering iron (not messed with it in a few years) but 80 bucks isnt a bad price for a fix.

I was wondering if the motor, or the switch was the issue for the quarter panel window. It did seem to work once, but after that failed, so I'll try to see if its stuck, not a huge issue as no one is ever back there and usually that seat isnt even in. Just since its all new to me, i figured I would ask!

thanks for the great responses guys I appreicate it!

Your quarter panel window problem is a regular one, I fight it with the Dodge too. I can push it out a little, and the motor will finish. and then it will close it. and then it doesnt work again.
