Window washer pump

06 Limited. So, window washer doesn't work, front or back.

In looking at the fuse list, it appears that the rear wiper is the same fuse as the washer pump from what I can tell, and the rear wiper works (as do the front) just fine. So I assume it isn't a fuse, or it is one that I'm not aware of.

Pulled the plug at the pump, and no power there when activating the switch coming through the wires.

Wondering if anyone can point me to how the power is routed, or if I'm missing a fuse or something.

Well I tried on my crappy Android but couldn't figure out what relay powers your windshield washer pump. It's not the fuse that powers your wiper motor, at least as far as what I've researched. Auto zone does list a relay for the pump. I don't have a schematic to see where pump gets powered by what relay. The online owners manual only shows fuses and some relays for your vehicle, not one saying windshield pump.Do you have your owners manual? I only have first edition 97-02. One of our regulars should drift in soon with an answer.

Just got through texting an old friend that has 2006 f150 same vehicle. He says pump and motor same circuit, if no power to pump, most likely culprit multi function switch. I tend to agree! Well see what the others feel. Looked high and wide, didn't see separate fuse/ relay, but didn't have schematic, just fuse diagrams.

So the switch on the stalk? Since there are two different controls for front and rear, never considered that, but I suppose it could be shared wires in there, and the direction just changes to change the pump direction.

So now I get to figure out how to take that off to check or repair.

No manual when purchased. Just the online one you likely referenced. So many questions could be answered with a bit more detail in the owner manual.

After looking on eBay, really tempted now to buy one of the many printed wiring manuals on there now for the 2006 model year I have

As far as fuse diagrams, I went on fuse diagrams .com. Yours pops up when you key in year . Again before replacing stalk, maybe one of our members can assist you with testing first, always want to be at least 90 percent sure before springing for a new part.

Theirs 2 guys on ebay selling 2006 expedition owners books for $10.00 each Free shipping. One guy had make offer in price. As we recommend to others purchase a Ford repair CD through eBay or whomever. As you found out Haynes and Chilton never show what you need, when you need it, they try to cover too many years in one small book.

I only have a digital owners manual for now, as it is free online from ford. Have seen a few in eBay, and may end up there eventually. I just thing for $10 it is a partially incomplete book, and I'll do with the updated digital copy for now.

I have a repair cd, but that is the issue, is that it is cd based, and runs windows software. Not ideal to get an iPad dirty, and not wanting to haul a computer out next to a vehicle to work on it. I've printed pages as needed in the past, but the printed manuals may actually be worth the $50 or so I see the vol 1 and 2 and wiring diagram sets going for on eBay.

That switch is nearly $100 so I hope I can find a bad fuse or something else to confirm it is in fact the switch first. At that price, I may live without the washer functions!

Nothing wrong with printing pages. I personally being old school liked the printed word. Whenever I brought heads, cylinders to a machine shop, I'd always leave my repair manual in the box. Always had a warm fuzzy feeling when I saw fresh grease fingerprints on the clearance spec pages when I got items back.
