My 2009 Expedition XLT rear defroster no longer works. I checked the voltage at the plug to the heating strip on the rear window (with the engine running & rear defroster engaged) and it reads zero volts. The light to the rear defroster button works, but there is still zero volts at the rear window. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram of this Expedition model/version. I also have no idea which fuse to check. The owner's manual lacks to details on this issue. Can anyone help?

Check fuse 51 and 52 in the under hood fuse block
also fuse 59 is for the heated mirrors.

Do you have automatic controls or manual controls for the heater/ac system

Thanks for the quick reply! When I looked in the manual at the block diagram for the fuses, I didn't realize what "Heated backlite/mirror relay" meant. So this is the rear defroster? I will check these fuses in the AM to see if this is the problem.

Please note that I have manual controls for the heater and A/C systems.

Thank you Bedrck47. The schematic helps me better understand the circuit and how this system works.
