Air Spring to Coil Spring Conversion Kit

You will need the front coil overs. The torsion bars on air ride equipped 4x4s are "softer" than normal. Without those coil over shocks your front end will sag. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2

    front suspension from a newby

Need to put up some pics of this "lift" maybe the collective knowledge can figure out what's on it and we can go from there. My first suggestion would be take it back to stock. Or replace the lift with a reputable one.

    Sas!

My advice would be to go with 1 tons a Dana 44 ain't going to hold up to 40 very long if you do much offroad at all. Super duty axles are nice on these trucks since the abs is comparable.

Yea that light is for the factory key fob and alarm. Do you have the number pad on the door?

    PATS/ingition question

99 was the first year to come standard with PATS. The reason your 97 has no problem starting with unprogramed keys is that it doesn't need them.

    Lifter sticking maybe? I dunno.

I've never heard of anyone having a major breakdown due to the timing tensioner failing. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened just that I haven't heard about it. My f150 chain clatters when I first start it and my wife's expedition does it all the time. I'm actually going to change hers out the...

    Unhappy with discount tire

I used to work at a tire shop. They should be able to tell just by looking at them that those stems have not been changed.

    Unhappy with discount tire

It depends on the year. I'm not sure on the specific years but originally ford had them on the band and then they switched to the metal stems and then they switched again to rubber stems with the sensors attached. The newest design seems to be the industry standard now as ford, dodge, and gm are...

    Lifter sticking maybe? I dunno.

Actually there are no lifters on an overhead cam setup they are called followers. They are more closely related to rockers. They ride on top of the cam and push the valve open. There is actually a known problem with fords modular v8 design where if you run oil that is to thick it doesn't lube...

    Lug nuts

Yea I actually use a thin wall 19mm on my wheels

    Lug nuts

I'm surprised that a 3/4 is to big. My American racing nittros had plenty of room for that size nut. You may have to get tuner nuts with a key. Discount tire should have those also.
  21. K

    Lug nuts

Just 12mm x 1.75 acorn nuts with 3/4" hex heads. The sales person should be able to take care of you.

    Lug nuts

Discount tire has them in stock. They are about $40 a set. Or you can get them off eBay

    Lifter sticking maybe? I dunno.

Your motor does not have lifters. It is overhead cam. Look for an exhaust leak around the exhaust manifolds. The studs tend to break off and cause leaks. Could also be timing chain clatter or "slap". This is common on these motors. The tensioner for the timing chain is powered by oil...

    Cruise Control

My cruse quit working on my 97 f150. Same deal I checked the fuses and all looked good. Well I noticed that the reservoir was over full. So I wicked out some fluid with a red shop rag and now it works again. Don't know why but I ain't complaining.
