    If it makes you feel better - I got my 99 5.4 a superchip flashpaq for christmas. My truck has 152k on it, with factory u-joints, and the 93 octane performance tune on it. Still runs perfectly fine, and in the rain, burns some serious rubber.

    How is the AC system working? Seem normal? It sounds kinda like the pully on the compressor, which you dont really just replace the pully you replace the whole compressor. Check all the pully's and I'd check the belt and go from there. Hope this helps

    Are you moving the spring assisted belt tensioner with a wrench? (Not to sound like an ass) You get a wrench and almost "pry" it to route the belt, then when theres slack in the belt after its over everything you let the tensioner take up the slack. From your post thats all I could gather...

    Maybe do a coolant flush, you may have plugged up the heater core, and a flush might dislodge it. It doesn't sound like your out a water pump, and the thermostat is good, so thats the only thing I can think of. Hope this helps.

    Tighten the bolts on the torsion bar key, its rather easy, I forget if its forward or reverse drive. Your going to want to use an air impact. Crank them up, and then add some rear spacers to level it out.

    not starting when engine is hot.

    Sounds electrical to me - my jetski did the same thing, it was a cracked ignition coil. When its cold the contacts would touch, and start and run the balls. Once hot, copper expanded and the electricity wouldn't jump that gap. How does it run when its hot?
