Sounds like the coil you put on was bad as well or you have another bad coil somewhere. You need to test the coils with a volt meter. I am definately not a fan of replacing one coil at a time. Especially if they havent been done in along time. Just my .02 Good luck.

Check the air intake hose that loops around the egr and plugs into the intake. Also make sure your egr sensor hoses are connected on both ends.
