Anti-theft issues?

Lately my big X has the theft light blinking every second. Even when it's been off for hours. But the owners guide says every 2 seconds is the norm.

Sometimes it will crank but not even think about running. After multiple attempts, it will finally start.

The battery is new, fuel filter is new as well.

Is this a typical PATS issue happening?

I can confirm when I had pats issue it would crank fine all day long but would not start. The theft light did flash rapidly while attempting to start.
