In addition to the adhesive backing I drilled the supplied screws into the interior plastic trim to secure the mounting points and have had no issues with anything coming loose.

Most of the time the bottom stays attached and I keep the top detached and stowed under a weathertech cargo liner. It's been handy and is certainly cheap enough.

Geez....my truck is filthy! Don't notice when I see it every day but it really stands out in a photo. Anyway, yeah, nothing exciting there.

A few small holes and everything works great, though not everyone wants to drill into their trucks. For those that have no issue with it, the fire extinguisher mounted just above this shot has been a perfect, out-of-the-way location that's given me no issues with clearance or rattles.

Where's the fire extinguisher? On the side panel next to the rear hatch?

Yep. The panel comes off easy enough and with some big washers on the back side is sturdy enough for a small extinguisher.

Those scratches were there when I bought the truck. Poor thing lived a hard neglected life before I found it.

Buy 2 plastic crates and bungee cord them together.

Bought the same one recommended by mjp2. Mounted mine a little differently to get it tighter. I don't have the auto-lift tailgate so I had a few more options. Here are some pics of the mounting points. I cut an 1/8 off the bottom mounts so they sit flush. Fits great. I am going to install two more mounts at the bottom center to hold it down better. Will post those pics after it's done.
