Towed this bad boy about 250 miles not too long ago:
The trailer dry was 2250#, the truck I'm guessing was 4500-5klb plus the canopy, I should've had it weighed but in guessing conservatively I was pulling 7000 lb. I tell ya what, the truck pulled it very well, had more than enough power to climb Snoqualmie pass, as well as the "Vantage Hill" which is 10 miles of 4% grade, I held 55-60mph with some pedal to spare (not much). The trans temp while on the highway never went over 180* even while going over the passes!
I even averaged just over 9mpg! I should also add that it averaged 90-95* outside and I was always a cool 78* inside the truck
I will say though, that truck was a$$ heavy because I had it pulled as far forward as it would go, and hunkered down tight with straps, still only squatted the Expy by 1/2-1". Needless to say, it wagged all over the place and was the scariest tow I've ever done.
I am impressed with my truck regardless and look forward to what I'm able to tow in the future!
