Just finished chopping and bobbing my 97 . Well almost finished, if you finish all your projects then what will ya do.
I relocated the oil filter, cut the front bumper brackets off cut 6" off the frame welded back the brackets & trimmed the bumper. O MY what a difference, you can almost climb a wall!
Removed back bumper, cut the frame and made a bumper from old oil well pipe and the old bumper, trimmed the body, removed the running boards. I tore off the ugly warped plastic covers and bolted the steel framework underneath for a skid plate that runs from the transfer case to the rear diff. Installed the funky torsion bar lifts and blocks in the rear. Running 33x12.50x16.5 Dunlop rovers from craigslt I got for $100. NOTHING will stop her (so far) Took the alum. wheels to the recyclers and got $135. So the old expi is paying me to do this to her. Don't know what to call her, Expedition Sport Trac just ain't right.Any suggestions, this is an expedition site so I hope nobody suggests pile of s***
